So "1 out of 4 workers today is working for a company for whom they have been employed less than 1 year..." No wonder so many folks are so clueless -- and it isn't a mirage that they seem totally unfamiliar with their own company's policies (or to whom to send you when they don't have a clue..)

You're right to expect that. In fact a professor from the University of Toronto specializes in artificial neural networks where computers "learn" how to solve problems; the technology is in the post office to "read" your handwriting. It's based on signal processing theory. Psychiatrists today don't know how the brain operates, let alone create mathematical models for it, that still have the contradiction problem. Nothing's impossible. I think we have a long way to go. |
