Here's my take on why I THINK he's facing the back. I ASSUME that he probably has a problem with his hearing, maybe deaf? I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking that he is facing the speaker to feel the vibrations, making sure he's in tune and on key. Just an assumption though, I'm really not sure
