A not so great version of a great song. Check out his greatist hits- from the 50's; not later. His later bands were nothing compared to the earlier ones w/Johnny Johnson on piano. Listen to the rhythm; no break in the drive of the music all the way through the song. The way he strings words together like a jigsaw puzzle- prefiguring rap; his lyrics mirror the street speech of Black people of the time, tosses in a Country ingredient, too. Musicians nod him as the greatist early rock n roller.
